Job title: Nursery Nurse
Location: Preston, PR2 1HL
Salary: Negotiable

Term: 40 hours on a shift rota basis to cover the opening hours

As an experienced Nursery Nurse, you will ideally be a graduate who will lead the practice from birth to the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage within the setting. You will work to achieve the standards that cover essential aspects of high quality practice and leadership, promote mentoring, reflection and working in partnership with parents/carers and professionals to ensure effective early education and care of all children.

In addition to general childcare responsibilities, you will also be an ambassador for the Early Years Framework, including working collaboratively with all staff to create a happy and stimulating atmosphere where children can develop to their full potential.

Skills and Experience:
*Broad relevant childcare experience (min 4 years)
*Experience of staff training and development
*Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role specifically in relation to the childcare and curriculum.
*Experience of working independently and confidently
*Good written communication skills
*Planning and organising

*Leadership / Management

Qualifications:
*Early Years Professional Status
*NNEB, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent childcare qualification
*Foundation Degree in Early Years/ BA Hon Degree in Early Years
*EYFS Courses (Internal 2,3,4)

Duties and Responsibilities:
*To provide a safe, stimulating and fun environment for all children within the group room and act as a Key Person for a designated group of children but have an overall duty of care to all children within the nursery.
*To complete all required planning and record keeping in line with the organisations policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times through adherence to the safe working systems.
*To lead and work proactively with the Early Years Framework and mentor all staff members to ensure that they understand the EYFS framework.
