A full time Higher Level Teaching Assistant job has become available in a primary school in Bradford to start in November. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant job is for KS2 and is a long term supply post for 2 terms with the potential for the post to turn permanent. The daily rate for this post will be £65-£75 dependent on experience, and the salary is Band 8 - £15,997 to £17,625.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who:
* Has HLTA status or equivalent qualifications, i.e. Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or above, and Level 2 in Literacy & Numeracy (equivalent of Grade C in GCSE English & Maths).
* Experience working as a teaching assistant within a primary school, minimum 2 years experience.
* Can deliver and teach lessons successfully, and has experience delivering various intervention programmes.
* Has high expectations of all pupils and is committed to raising their educational achievement.
* Are able to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, teachers, parents and carers, and can work well in a team.
* Has the ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour in order to facilitate good conditions for learning.
* Is flexible, creative, patient and caring, and who has a good sense of humour.
* Is empathetic and has a positive nature.
This post has become available due to expansion within the school. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be required to help the further development of the school and support the delivery of high quality teaching and learning, which the role will have a major impact on. This will be done by complimenting the work of the teaching staff by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, some elements of PPA and first day absences will also be covered. The role will involve some planning and preparation for learning activities and also monitoring and reporting on pupil progress will be expected.
