40 - 45 hours per week

ABOUT YOU
Do you have a genuine passion for transport planning together with experience in the haulage industry?
Are you commercially savvy enough to develop new lines of business?

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of traffic management systems.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK and its road networks is essential.
• Previous traffic office experience would be an advantage.
• You will need to have good knowledge of driver’s hour’s regulations and know how long it should take to travel the distances between towns.

THE ROLE
There are excellent prospects in this challenging but rewarding role, offering an ambitious individual the chance to establish and progress with one of the region’s major players in the haulage industry. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Helping existing Planners to maintain cost effective routing of inbound and outbound freight.
• Liaising with and supervising drivers face to face and via telephone ensuring information is transmitted and received correctly.
• Assisting with general transport related admin.

KEY COMPETENCIES
• You must be computer literate.
• You will need to have a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
• The ability to multi task.
• First class attention to detail.
