Job title: HR Advisor
Location: Loughborough
Salary: £24,000
Temporary - 9 month maternity cover
37.5 hours, additional hours as required (Monday to Friday)
Our client is currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor, who will be confident in dealing with a variety of HR issues.
You will be providing advice and guidance on employee issues to managers and employees across 12 sites in the East Midlands (Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire). You will ensure compliance of HR process through on-going monitoring of activity and coaching. Additionally, you will need to highlight concerns of risk/failure on procedures to the Acting Group HR Manager.
Skills and Experience:
*CIPD professional membership
*Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management
*Circa 2 years' experience advising on employee relations issues
*Ideally experience of supporting multiple sites (not essential)
*Experience of working in a fast paced environment, preferably private sector
*Good standard of English and Maths
*Good communicator, positive, enthusiastic but able to work within procedures on job aspects which may deal with facts, standards and quality. Activity, flexibility, pace and a helpful approach are also requirements of this job.
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Provide expertise, guidance, advice and support to parameters of job function, seeking to maintain Company activities within appropriate statutory and corporate policy, e.g. absence, maternity and employee issues.
*Report employee relations activity to the Acting Group HR Manager and the MD weekly.
*Responsible for accurate communication both written and verbal with employees and managers on range of HR related matters.
*Handle confidential information securely and sensitively.
*Provide up to date and accurate data on the HR system to assist the HR Administrator in the accuracy of reports required for senior management.
*Develop, in conjunction with immediate Manager, policies and training courses within job parameters.
*Assist in review and implementation of policies, systems and procedures.
*Administration of paperwork and letters required for employees; including maintenance of electronic and paper based case files.
*Assist in maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
*Maintain an up to date knowledge of changes to employment legislation.
*Authorise payments and deductions to employees for payroll, occupational health appointments, Reports and other invoices as required in conjunction with Acting Group HR Manager.
*Supporting the team, i.e. working with the HR Administrator and Acting Group HR Manager to cover workload.
