Executive Director - Data Management

Visa Europe has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director of Data Management to join our team in London Paddington on a permanent basis. The Director of Data Management will be responsible for the monetisation, analytics and exploitation of core payment data. You will be defining, building the data capability and partnering with key business suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Establish the Visa Europe Data Management Strategy that recognises Data as a significant corporate asset.
• Create value from Data aligned with Visa Europe's corporate financial and business objective that benefit Members/Customers, Partners and internal business operations.
• Defining the scope and remit of the Data Management team and ensuring the right people are in role with the right skills and attributes
• Responsible to define, build and delivery Commercial Data products and propositions that generate value via established and new data monetisation practices
• Facilitate better decision making based on empirical data and analysis
• Responsible for the advance existing assets such as ERIC that allows VE to ensure they delivery to Targeted Marketing Service programmes
• Deriving more value from core products and processing through initiatives that will protect and grow the business

Deliverables & outcomes:

• Operate VE's core payment system, growing non card based products and processing business, with full P&L responsibility for Visa Europe's Data products and propositions
• Define high level capabilities and plan for (i) Data Assets, (ii) Partnering, (iii) Commercial/Operational frameworks
• Build internal data science and analytical capabilities
• Drive key focus areas & focus on quick wins/high commercial return
• Drive interfaces based on capabilities, establish alignment with TMS
• Enhance existing ERIC and BI capability and operating model
• Drive legal engagement to enable successful launch of data licensing commercial offering
• Leverage scheme and processing data assets to drive license access, analytics & profiling and bespoke data offerings
• Driving propositions that allow us to see more or all data on our European footprint
• Build partnerships to leverage and exploit capability with partners to drive speed to market and faster commercial impact

Essential Skills:

• Knowledge and experience of the payments industry and/or financial services
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Personal gravitas with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Highly developed presentation, written and oral communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities and budget
