Job Elements: -
• To ensure that all machinery is effectively maintained and repaired in the event of an unscheduled breakdown. Also, to carry out any electrical installation work as required.
• Work in all areas on breakdown of machinery as requested by Electrical Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Ensure breakdowns are dealt with in a timely manner
• To carry out planned maintenance as per the planned maintenance schedule
• Ensure administrative data such as log books, stores requisitions or information requested by supervisor is completed
• Work with Electrical Engineer/Contractors on projects as requested.
• Identify, and recommend areas for improvement
• Assist with installation of new equipment
The ideal candidate will have:
• Time served craftsman Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
• PLC Literate
• Excellent decision making skills
• Team orientated
• Flexible with the ability to change track according to differing priorities
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment (technical background)
