Senior Analog IC Design Engineer - Medical - London

A unique opportunity has arisen for an Analog IC Design Engineer to join a start up company based in London working on cutting edge technology for the medical sector.

Working with a team of highly experienced designers you will be working on the design, verification, layout and test of Analog/Mixed Signal ICs. In this role you will be responsible for the entire design process, from the gathering of requirements through to successful tapeout including design planning, concept generation, specification as well as detailed cell level design. Blocks will include; low noise amplifiers, low noise voltage references, temperature sensors and high speed ADCs.

You will be a key contributor to the design, verification, layout, and test of advanced mixed-signal circuits for the custom IC's.

Due to the size of the company and the uniqueness of the product development, you will also operate at the level of the entire system which includes IC plus board-level electronics working with other members in the team to deliver the best solution. As the electronic systems being developed must operate in relation to other aspects of the greater system e.g. mechanical, microfluidic, and biochemical aspects, you should enjoy communicating, brainstorming, and solving challenges with colleagues from other disciplines e.g. biochemistry, micro-fluidics, industrial designers.

Masters or PhD qualified in Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics the successful Senior Analog IC Design engineer will have established experience in Analog IC Design and will have had responsibility for delivering an entire IC within tight timescales and had responsibility for seeing IC Design projects through to completion. Strong experience is required in the design of high-performance ADC's.

Additional experience is required in some or all of the following; low-noise amplifiers, discrete time filters using Matlab, switched-capacitor circuits, design in deep submicron CMOS, writing specifications for digital cells, Cadence design tools (ADE and ADE-XL, Spectre, AMS, Ocean, Assura, etc).

You should have a practical, self-motivated approach to your work: creatively debugging and proactively overcoming design challenges and will have the drive to learn, adapt, and solve difficult yet practical challenges. An interest and a background in device development for medical applications is ideal.

If you feel you have what it takes to be a valuable member of a growing team working on advanced technology, then contact Leon at IC Resources today.
