Public Unifrom / Travel & Tourism Teacher
The Job
We?re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Public Uniform/Travel and Tourism teacher/Instructor who has the ability and motivation to apply their travel industry experience in an education setting. You will teach across a range of Travel and Tourism courses and levels ? lending your knowledge to deliver high quality course content that is relevant to the workplace today.
In addition, you will:
Be actively involved in the organisation, development, delivery and evaluation of training.
Participate in the marketing, recruitment and selection/enrolment of students.
Provide guidance and support to students as appropriate.
Develop and implement appropriate quality management and assurance systems.
We?re specifically looking for the following experience/skills:
Public Uniform / Travel and Tourism experience,
A degree level qualification or equivalent in Travel & Tourism or other relevant subject area
Experience of teaching Travel and Tourism & Public Uniform
A teacher training certificate or willingness to achieve this within 3 years.
The ability to respond positively to change in an evolving curriculum area.

The School
This Catholic grammar school for boys aged 11 to 18. The percentage of students with a statement of special educational needs is below average. The percentage of those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities is close to the national average and has risen markedly over the last three years. The percentage of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities varies between year groups from 13% to 33%. The proportion of students entitled to free school meals is below the national average. There are higher than average numbers of students from minority ethnic backgrounds.
