Technical Support Engineer (Mac)
Bodmin, Cornwall
Salary £16k - £20k plus bonuses, training credits and flexible hours
40 hours per week including some evening and weekends
EXPERIENCE
• Able to use Apple Macs and iOS.
• Familiarity with the following would be desirable:
o LAMP
o Networking
o cPanel
o Windows
o Linux
o Microsoft
THE ROLE
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing telephone and email support, as well as potentially onsite network assistance locally. Your other roles and responsibilities may include:
• Out of hours email support and on-call cover.
• Preparing and maintaining relevant online support articles.
• Helping customers will all aspects of their online experience or business.
• Providing support for broadband, hosting, email and cloud storage to home and business users.
The role would be suitable for junior to senior Support Engineers and remuneration and training would be reflective of this.
THE PERSON
As a Support Engineer you should also be technically minded, customer focused and able to handle multiple issues consecutively. You will have excellent communication skills via face to face, telephone and email, you must be able to converse with non-technical people without technical jargon and be able to build and maintain good relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
