PLACEMENT OFFICER EARLY YEARS
0.5 position (18.5 hours a week), term time only (36 weeks per year)
Salary: £19,031 - £27,416 pro-rata (actual salary £7,576 - £10,914)
This is an interesting and varied role for a suitably qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioner who is seeking the opportunity to develop their career within the Further Education Sector.
The main responsibilities will be for placement assessment and monitoring of a cohort of students on Early Years programmes. Duties include developing relationships with Early Years providers, screening potential placement providers and arranging placements for students and reviewing their progress. You will also be a counter signatory for DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checks.
To be successful you will hold a degree or equivalent in Early Years and will have experience of working in the Early Years sector. In addition you will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including management, students, tutors and supervisors; a good knowledge of Early Years courses and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
You will need a current driving licence and your own transport.
