They are now looking for a Senior Tutor in Learning & Teaching to join them at their Fleetwood campus where you will provide leadership on teaching and learning within their Maritime and Nautical school.

Contributing to the education and training activities of the School, assisting in the preparation of teaching and assessing coursework assignments, and monitoring the progress and performance of students, you will act as a mentor for new teachers whilst staying well informed of national development in the area of teaching and learning. Developing and using a range of teaching and learning techniques, carrying out teaching observations and giving feedback and participating in internal audits, you will contribute to staff development, assist with the continuing development of resources to support the curriculum and work collaboratively across the college.

In order to be successful in this role, candidates will hold a PGCE/Certificate in Education and have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience. With an ability to teach in Maritime Studies, you will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in this sector and have previous experience of teaching a wide range of learners. An effective team player with outstanding tutoring skills, you will have an understanding of and interest in how students learn and an ability to lead change. Ideally you will have experience of mentoring or supporting new tutors, although this is not essential.
