Verification Automation Engineer (Hardware / Software) - Cambridge, UK

A skilled Automation Engineer with excellent software (build and test) and pre-silicon hardware verification skills (Perl, Python, Java, systemVerilog, Platform LSF) is sought for an exciting new opportunity based in Cambridge (UK). In this role you will be responsible for building the next generation automation infrastructure for several teams of CPU and GPU Verification Engineers.

This exciting multinational company designs the world's most advanced IP, and is looking for an ambitious HW/SW engineer to pioneer new technologies for their high performance, low power consumption RISC processors. Their technology lies at the heart of most advanced digital products, from wireless, networking and consumer entertainment solutions to imaging, automotive, security and storage devices.

Opportunities exist for engineers at various levels of experience, from Junior to Principal.

The ideal candidate will have;

*Experience of hardware pre-silicon verification, including constrained random testing, coverage driven and assertion-based techniques and the use of formal tools (Formality, Conformal, systemVerilog, OVM, UVM, SystemC etc…)
*A very high level of proficiency with dynamic languages such as Perl, Python, Java (or other JVM languages) or Shell
*Extensive experience automating processes such as hardware verification workflows or software build and test solutions
*Experience with large scale clustered compute environments, such as Platform LSF
*Experience dealing with large volumes of analytical data, e.g. aggregating and reporting

Any experience of the following is beneficial, but not required for this position;

*a track record of writing scripts that drive flows that perform tests, ideally you will have done this in a way such that your tools and scripts have been adopted and used by others
*Alternatively you will be familiar with software build and test flows, the use of continuous integration and unit testing, metrics such as coverage, complexity and churn. You will have initiated, had responsibility for, or had significant impact on a successful automatic build and test regime using large clusters of machines.

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company offering fantastic career and skills development opportunities, as well as an exceptional salary and company benefits package. Visa Sponsorship is provided for candidates (and their families) who require this.
