A new opportunity has arisen to join a world leader and one of the most recognised names in the electronics industry!

Our client seeks an RF IC Design Engineer for their UK design centre to work within a dedicated team focused on designing Analog and RF circuits.

You will be responsible for Analog/RF IC Design for wireless applications and will be involved in designing; LNAs, Mixers, PA and VCOs in deep submicron CMOS processes whilst at the same time, oversee physical layout activities. You will need to have an understanding of system level requirements and the ability to translate them into circuits level specifications. You will also be required to deliver documentation in line with the department processes.

PhD qualified or Masters with a couple of years industry experience is the minimum level required for this role.

Experience is required in;

-Matlab and other system design tools for defining the architecture and specification of radio sub-systems.
-Wireless communication standards is ideal i.e Bluetooth, Wifi, WiMax, AM/FM modulators.
-Designing blocks such as: LNAs, PAs, Mixers or PLLs
-Analog/RF IC design & verification CAD tools (i.e. Cadence and Mentor)
-Physical layout implementations in deep submicron CMOS process
-RF field solvers (e.g. EMX, HFSS, Momentum)

Strong communications skills are required along with the ability to well within a team.
