Multi Skilled Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer to work within their busy maintenance department. Hours of work will be a double day shift pattern, 40 hours per week M-F, 05:45 - 13:45 one week and 14:15 - 22:15 following week. In return the client offers an hourly rate of £12.05.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· To attend breakdowns, in order to minimise machinery downtime and to assist with attaining the factory operational performance targets
· To maintain machinery in the highest order to ensure availability of plant to the operations team at all times
· To be aware of the shift production plan and to prioritise work around it
· To diagnose defects, effect repairs and evaluate results (test before handback)
· To identify and order the correct spare parts from different sources and communicate this information to all other team members
· To be available for prompt attendance to breakdown with the correct tools within 2 minutes from call out
· To read and access information in order to keep up to date with current technology advancements and implement best practice
· To understand system drawings and machinery manuals
