About the Role:

We are looking for a competent, enthusiastic and focused analytics professional to join our organisation. This role will involve analysing data sets to better understand customer behaviour, evaluating the success of marketing campaigns, building models to assist with acquisition and retention activities, measuring customer satisfaction levels and wider business analysis requirements.

As Data Analyst for Union Insurance your key responsibilities will include:

- In depth data analysis to support the Marketing department

- Use of a variety of data sources and tools including web analytics and in house customer admin system.

- In depth analysis of demographic, campaign and website data assessing performance and ROI, thereby identifying opportunities for improved performance.

- Assist with campaign creation by selecting data sets and ensuring test cells are appropriate and measureable.

- Analysis of customer lapse behaviour and customer lifetime value, building predictive models to optimise retention activities.

- Analysis of performance of outbound calling data and post sale customer behaviour by segment to enhance lead provision for the call centre.

- Refining customer satisfaction measurement techniques, monitoring and reporting to the business.

- Producing and presenting reports on findings in an accessible manner.

- Working closely with the IT team to develop and maintain a new data warehouse, including recommendations for appropriate analytic and data extraction tools.

- Any other tasks that may reasonably be requested.

As the Data Analyst you will need to:

- Have at least 3 years data analysis experience in a marketing environment.

- Have a background in statistics or mathematics.

- Excellent Excel VBA and SQL capability.

- A thorough understanding of analytical techniques and how to implement them to produce required insight.

- A thorough understanding of Data Protection legislation and requirements for data security which must be observed at all times.

- Competency in the various online analysis tools (including Google Analytics).

- Strong report writing and presentation skills to share the insight gained with others in the business

- Be a team player - who enjoys working at all levels

- Be a highly organized person with an excellent eye for detail

- Be experienced in measuring and tracking marketing effectiveness

- Quickly gain a thorough understanding of the products we offer and the status of our partner relationships.

- Preferably have worked in a Financial Services environment and be familiar with the requirements of the industry's regulators.
