Head of Regional Fundraising
Location: North West – home based
Salary from £45k + car/car allowance
Job Type: Permanent
Can you offer an impressive track record in fundraising and team leadership at the highest level? Can you deliver against ambitious targets? Why do we ask? Because four million people will be living with cancer by 2030 and we intend to be there for each and every one of them.
That challenging ambition makes it vital that we raise more funds and inspire millions of people across the UK to get involved. We need your dynamic and strategic leadership, strong interpersonal and motivational skills to be at the heart of that ambition.
As Head of Regional Fundraising for the North West England & North Wales, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire (one of our largest regions) you will lead, manage and develop a strong, experienced regional fundraising team of 5 area leaders and 15 Fundraising Managers. You will drive the recruitment and development of our volunteer network and corporate partnerships across the region, to ensure that agreed income targets are delivered effectively and efficiently and that awareness is raised of Macmillan’s work throughout the region.
As a senior leader in the regional fundraising team, you will be accountable for delivering a budget in excess of £10m across multiple streams. With a focus on developing and implementing the strategy for Macmillan’s national fundraising programme regionally, you will take the lead on key community fundraising projects.
Accustomed to working on the move, supported by a mobile team, you are equipped with a strategic mindset, focus, personal drive and enthusiasm, as well as excellent communication and exceptional relationship and team-building skills.
Your outstanding interpersonal and coaching skills, as well as your extensive experience in project management, including financial responsibility in a sales and marketing function, are essential. To be successful you will need to demonstrate your experience and success of operating at this senior leadership level.
This role will require you to travel extensively throughout the region, so flexibility is required. You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application. It is your track record of success that is most important to us. And in return for building on those successes to deliver impressive results for Macmillan, we commit to actively developing you and offer benefits including BUPA, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers, generous leave and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
