The company is a market leading Distributor of Automotive components for the independent aftermarket. The company distributes their products in over 30 countries worldwide. The company are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to join their office in Swindon.
Job Role:
The Supply Chain Manager is a key role within the business; the company require the modernisation of the existing processes and the development of a small team to deliver challenging, on-going targets for the existing business which expects to achieve significant growth over the next 5 years.
The company is a leader in its field of Automotive Aftermarket spares for both the UK and export markets and their customers demand the highest level of availability which they must deliver within a lean supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demand Management
• All aspects of Materials management
• Production planning, Scheduling and forecasting
• Ensure the department is working effectively in its link between the Product management, Sales and Marketing departments, and the customers
• Developing and implementing new systems and processes
• Responsibility for delivering the long term stock and availability forecast plans.
• Solving potential supply issues and manage these issues to minimise their effect on the overall business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience, in either the planning or managing of a supply chain
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills that inspire and motivates functional teams across multiple departments
- Proven commercial exposure and experience of managing relationships with Suppliers
- Ability to operate strategically and input into strategic growth plans
- A sound commercial focus, understanding the impact your department’s actions have on the bottom line
- Comprehensive understanding of data, manipulation methods and business analytics
- Understand how to drive performance through a Continuous Improvement culture
- Effective communicator with people at all levels of the business with the ability to develop positive relationships with senior management
- High leadership ability, with an adaptive style and able to develop and motivate a team
