As one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in Europe, our client provides education and training to a wide range of learners and clients across the City of Manchester and beyond.

They are now recruiting for an experienced person to provide service desk 1st level support to users of the college and ensure all IT requests and Incidents are accurately logged, assigned and responded in a timely manner in accordance to IT standards and procedures.

Joining our client’s IT Services department, you will act as a single point of contact regarding IT issues reported to IT Service Desk , respond to all requests for assistance in a professional manner, record and manage IT requests, perform 1st Level troubleshooting and quick fixes of IT issues and fulfil IT Service Requests under Service Desk function responsibilities.

You will escalate IT issues to 2nd, 3rd level support teams according to the agreed escalation procedures and provide users with updates and actions taken including escalating unresolved requests in line with service level agreements.

You’ll need a proactive and organised manner as you’ll need to follow up on IT requests that have been assigned to you and ensure all necessary actions are taken to resolve any problems and that all requests are logged in the Service Desk system.

The successful Service Desk Analyst will have experience of working in an ITIL best practice environment coupled with General IT and service desk experience. A problem solver, customer focused and with the ability to establish professional relationships easily, you’ll also need to be experienced in troubleshooting and end-to-end ownership of issues.
