Job Title: Internal Sales Engineer

Location: Worsley, Manchester

Salary: Circa £25K - £35K OTE, Dependent upon Experience

Our client is a well established and growing, multi branch engineering business.

Specializing in electrical & mechanical engineering, they have a thriving mechanical engineering workshop, enabling them to provide a complete turnkey repair & maintenance service for clients.

Growing demand for new product sales from existing and new clients has led to the need for an Internal Technical Sales specialist to support customers and external Sales Engineers.

Based in Worsley and responsible to the Operations Manager, duties will include but not limited to :

- Dealing with customer inquiries

- Prepare competitive price & delivery quotations

- Liaising with workshop colleagues,

- Ordering parts from suppliers & scheduling delivery

- Providing technical support for clients & external sales engineers

- Prospecting for new customers & business

The successful applicant will have an engineering background, probably educated to HNC level or above, and have previous experience in a similar sales role. Candidates with experience of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, power transmissions or similar would fit in well in this environment

You will have excellent customer service & internal sales skills, be a team player confident enough to state your opinion, give advice and use your initiative, be comfortable under pressure and willing to learn new techniques and products. You will also need good basic computer skills including email, Word and Excel and a full driving licence.

Hours of work are 40 hours, Monday- Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work during exceptionally busy periods.
