Network Engineer - London

Network Engineer x2 - London

Based in central London, my client is a market leader in the development of innovative high speed financial trading platforms. They are looking to expand their engineering team, by recruiting two experienced Network Engineers.

Key experience required:
- Very strong network skills, extensive experience of working in L3 and L2 environments
- Very strong experience of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, etc.)
- Good knowledge and demonstrable experience of working with and implementing MPLS
- Experience of working with and implementing VPLS would be desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of low latency networking and exchange/broker/ECN connectivity
- Strong experience of designing solutions, extracting and validating requirements, creating Bill of Materials, understanding costs, creating High-Level and Low-Level Designs
- Good experience of delivering complex and strategic projects
- 3rd line problem escalation
- Maintain thorough network documentation

Technical experience required:

- CCNP/CCIE certified (or equivalent knowledge)
- Cisco Routers: ASR Series, 7600's - 2600's, Nexus N7K - N2K
- Cisco Switches: 6800's - 2900's
- Experience of deploying and supporting Arista switches
- Strong Experience of deploying and supporting Load Balancers, preferably F5
- Good security experience / exposure of firewall technologies Juniper (ScreenOS) and Cisco
- It would be very beneficial to have experience of CheckPoint, Fortinet, and Palo Alto including any of the relevant management tools
- Experience of working with Bluecoat devices
