We have an exciting opportunity for experience Server Support Analyst to join our Server team!

This essential team provides corporate services including email, user file storage, instant messaging, Proxy and a range of other services to the Net-A-Porter group's seven worldwide locations. The majority of these services are run on VMware vSphere. We're looking for a candidate with a strong background in vSphere to take the technical lead on managing and improving our VMware environment as well helping to support our other systems and services and deliver new systems and services to our business.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting and improving our global VMware estate. (vSphere v5, Horizon View v5).

  • Supporting the SAN and shared storage infrastructures used by our VMware estate (currently HP based).

  • Supporting all Windows Servers and services including Exchange and File and Print, Blackberry, Active Directory, DNS etc.

  • Ensuring good DR/Backup policies. (Veeam for our VM environment, NetBackup for physical).

  • Managing security and patching policies for Windows Servers.

  • Supporting our NetApp and EMC Isilon NASs.

  • Supporting monitoring platforms including HP SIM and System Center Operations Manager.

  • Offering knowledge and mentoring of 1st and 2nd line support to enhance the overall support.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong proven experience managing a VMware technology (vSphere/Horizon View) environment is essential

  • Designing VMware environments

  • VCP/VCAP desirable

  • Proven experience managing SAN and NAS storage systems.

  • Proven experience managing Windows Server 2008/2012 environments.

  • Proven technical project management experience, ideally experience in rollouts of software and operating systems within large environments.

Please note that this role will involve an on-call rota to ensure we support our work.
