A new and exciting position has arisen at Boeing UK for a Spring Java Developer with Fusion Middleware SOA Suite/OSB background. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, and implementation of a complex integration solution.

Responsibilities:

• Execute technical tasks within the integrated project schedule
• Design, code, unit test and document the solution
• Assist test team in integration testing
• Assist implementation team in go live planning and support.
• The integration solution is part of a large transformation programme with the Ministry of Defence to migrate multiple Legacy application point to point communications to a SOA based modern solution
• An ideal candidate will have the opportunity to bring previous experience to influence designs, processes, and technologies within a growing development team.

Competencies:

• Ability to create Canonical XML schemas, XML transformation and Xquery.
• Ability to do hands-on work, not just design.
• Ability to translate customers business requirements into technical solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical skills - Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, ETL, Web Services, XML, JUNIT, Linux, Maven, Continuous Integration (Hudson), Oracle 11g.

Qualifications and Experience:

Typical Education and/or Experience Ideal candidate has experience with: CXF, Hibernate, inner workings of MOD supply chain process, implementing ETL based solutions in Spring Batch, working with bulk data and large volume records, logistic systems (Inventory and Warehouse Management), integrating Legacy and COTS applications, using Jdeveloper, Eclipse, Weblogic and Jboss, and using JUNIT/Mock Testing
