Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £26000 - £30000 per annum plus benefits

Hours: Day Shift

18 month contract opportunity for expanding international engineering company

Education: Apprenticed trained in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Experience of working in a similar role within an aerospace or automotive industry, precision engineering

CMM Operating experience is essential, CMM programming is ideal but not essential
Have Inspection knowledge and use of a wide variety of gauges and sophisticated measuring equipment (CMM, Roundness machine, Surface Analyser, etc.)

Working within the machine shop, The CMM Roaming Inspector will carry out random inspection checks on parts produced by the skilled machinists. The CMM Roaming Inspector will record and investigate any non-conformances you may find to the Quality team. To carry out these inspections CMM Roaming Inspector will have the ability to operate the CMM machine and use manual inspection techniques.

This is an essential role within the business as it offers an understanding of employee's ability to measure and accept their own work and also helps the company to ensure the overall quality of our products to our customers.

The CMM Roaming Inspector are likely to have excellent judgement, interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work on several assignments at the same time as well as strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to describe complex problems in a concise manner.
