Job title: Early Years Teacher - Preparatory School

The role of the Early Years Teacher (EYT) involves providing a high quality, safe, interesting and stimulating learning for all children within the school. They will work in partnership with parents/carers and professionals to ensure effective early education in a creative imaginative way which is focused on helping children achieve early learning goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Manager/Assistant Manager in the practice, activities, and continuous improvement in the school and co-ordinating the relevant short and medium-term planning in line with the business needs to meet the curriculum requirements, whilst effectively communicating this to the Manager.

You will be a graduate who is fully conversant with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) and teaches all areas in line with the requirements of the framework within the school.

Skills/Experience:
*Relevant teaching experience (min 2 years)
*Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role specifically in relation to the EYFS Framework.
*Experience of working independently and confidently
*Good written and oral communication skills
*Experience of staff training and development
*Planning and organising
*Problem solving and decision making
*Leadership / Management
*Creative and analytical thinking
*Influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills
*You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of child development to ensure that all the children's individual needs are fully met.

Qualifications:
*Relevant Teaching Degree with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Foundation Degree in Early Years/ BA Hon Degree in Early Years
*EYFS Courses (Internal 2,3,4)

Desirable:
*NNEB, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent childcare qualification
*Early Years Professional Status

Duties and responsibilities:
*Deliver a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for children by developing a range of planned activities which is age appropriate, engaging, inspiring, enjoyable and challenging
*To complete all required lesson planning and record keeping in line with the organisations policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times through adherence to the safe working systems
*To lead and work proactively with the EYFS framework and provide an inspiring, and stimulating learning environment to ensure that all children's needs are fully met.
*To be responsible for co-ordinating the relevant short and medium-term planning in line with the business needs to meet the curriculum requirements.
*To be responsible for assessing, recording and reporting on the development progress and attainments of the children to the Manager and Assistant Manager, as well as communicating the lesson planning, activities and progress.
