Learning Support Team Administrator

Temporary to cover Maternity leave 37 hours per week Mon-Fri Based within the Learning Support Service you will provide administrative support to staff who deliver advice and guidance to students across the institution including issues related to disabled students. This is a busy and challenging administrative role, dealing with a wide variety of business which requires the ability to multitask to meet demands. You should possess: • An excellent standard of computer literacy and be fully conversant with all MS Office applications including a high level of knowledge of Excel (creating charts, manipulating data, pivot tables) and Access (writing queries and reports). • Ability to analyse, interpret and report on financial data, with demonstrable attention to detail and good numeracy skills. • Experience of developing administrative systems and procedures. • Experience of working in education and preferably in a university setting. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key tasks: • To implement effective and efficient administrative systems and processes to facilitate the delivery of support to disabled applicants and students. • Respond to student/applicant enquiries via e-mail, telephone and in person and provide support to disabled students with the processes of applying for student funding. • Implement, maintain and continuously enhance a database system to record, monitor and report information relating to students and applicants. • To implement the process of invoicing to funding bodies for work carried out by the Learning Support Service including collating timesheet information from a range of casual staff and liaising with financial teams both internally and externally.
