Available vacancy: Senior Support Workers Opportunities to work in Coventry in the following area: Alderman's Green Salary: £14,563 pa Hours: 39 - Working on flexible rotas, includes weekends and waking nights; Sleep-ins may be required in some services £25.68 paid per night THE COMPANY: A service provider providing support for people with learning disabilities, Autism, challenging behaviour and other support needs including complex health needs. The services support individuals to live in their own homes. THE ROLE: We are looking for Senior Support Workers with good communication skills who have the ability to lead and mentor a staff team and organise rotas. The role may include some split shifts, weekends, waking nights and sleep-ins. In return for your commitment to the service, we offer the potential for career development. THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will be able to show an aptitude and enthusiasm for the role. You will be positive, compassionate and empathetic with an encouraging nature. You will need to have a positive attitude to the rights of people with a learning disability, particularly their right to be treated with the respect and dignity they are entitled to as an equal member of society. Previous experience would be advantageous however; fully funded, accredited training and support will be provided. Desirable skills and experience:- • NVQ 3 and NVQ 4 Supervisory Units would be an advantage or a willingness to work towards these qualifications. • The right candidate will have similar experience as a Senior Support Worker • Experience of autism and challenging behaviours is desirable All posts are subject to disclosure & DBS scheme registration
