History Teacher

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic History Teacher? We are looking for a qualified Teacher to teach History to Keys Stages 3 and 4 at a Northumberland based School. Our client may also consider a good NQT.

The Job:

The successful candidate should be:

- A dynamic and inspiring Teacher who can enthuse students about History-
- Able to raise attainment and achievement of all students within the curriculum area
- A thorough understanding of the subject
- Able to carry out professional duties, under the direction of the curriculum leader

The School:

Our client School is a large Secondary school based in Northumberland, with a large catchment area. It has strong vocational links and pupils achieve well in work-related qualifications. We are seeking a teacher of History from September. Applications will be accepted from either NQT or experienced teachers. This has had a hugely positive impact on punctuality and registrations and also behaviour.

The Child:

Due to its location and size, staff at the school will come into contact with pupils with varying levels of attainment and ability, and from various social and economic backgrounds, hence a level of experience and solid behavioural management strategies are essential. Literacy across all subjects at Key Stage 3 is a focus to enable students to have the best opportunities to do well at Key Stage 4.
