Job Title: Event / Exhibition Designer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 per Annum

(Junior to Middleweight Depending on Experience)

An enthusiastic, talented and versatile Event / Exhibition Designer who thrives in a busy creative environment.

A logical thinker who has the necessary creative acumen to really get under the skin of a brief and deliver intelligent creative concepts through to accurate and engaging spatial design.

A confident, proactive team player who’s ready to take the next step and further their career within large team of highly-skilled fellow creative's, whilst working across some of the biggest brands in the business.

Key Tasks:

• Either working as an individual or as part of a creative team to produce intelligent creative solutions that meet / exceed their clients expectations and aspirations.

• Supporting to deliver concepts for a range of experiential, event, exhibition purposes. Working ideas through from initial scamps, to space plans, through to final presentation visuals and design packs, ensuring work is appropriately checked and fit-for-purpose prior to supplying to other departments.

• Support colleagues across the business with costing your ideas inc. specifying panel sizes, producing asset lists, advising on preferred materials.

• Work with your line manager and team coordinator to ensure work is delivered within agreed budgets and to project deadlines.

• Attend and proactively engage in various meetings inc. team updates, internal briefings, creative ideas sessions and project debriefs.

• Support colleagues from across the business to deliver work efficiently and in accordance with the company’s guiding principles.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• A degree or similar level qualification in architectural, exhibition or event design.

• An eye for presentations and a strong design skill with a portfolio of work and imagination to match.

• The ability to quickly sketch initial thoughts and ideas by hand.

• Solid experience using CAD / Vectorworks or similar software packages

• A sound understanding of materials, structures and the production process.

• A positive, conscientious approach to all aspects of work with the ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.

• A quick learner with the ability to deliver accurately on instruction as well as work effectively both within a team and under own initiative.

• A logical thinker and keen problem solver with excellent communications, organisational and time management skills.

• A good knowledge of 3DMax, Sketch-Up or Render works preferred.

• Experience of working on Apple Mac and in Adobe In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop ideal but not essential.
