The Role:

The Property Marketing Specialist will be working with the Data Centre Services (DCS) division reporting into the Marketing Director. The Property Marketing Specialist will be ensuring that all data centres are being effectively marketed on local and Pan-European levels, considering all the vital market specifics that make the difference in sell-ability of colocation space in particular countries. The Property Marketing Specialist will ensure all centres have the support they need to ensure the space is full and the customers are satisfied. The person will be contributing to the sales teams and sales channels efforts to boost the colocation pipeline by creating and executing individual/localised marketing plans for the key properties in DCS's target European markets.

Core Tasks:

  • Increasing awareness of Colt as a leading colocation provider within each data centre European target markets
  • Creating and executing local marketing plans for the key 9 properties
  • Understanding of the local market specifics, our facilities in those markets and working closely with the in-country market team
  • Implementing global DCS marketing strategy into local plans and activities, managing local marketing plans
  • Working in synergy with other members of DCS marketing team
  • Cooperating with other divisional local marketers (Indirect/Direct/other divisions) on aligning the plans, budgets and execution of joint activities
  • Closely cooperating with the Sales Enablement Specialist, sales teams, property managers and other relevant colleagues
  • Increasing the colocation pipeline by generating marketing leads through local events, telemarketing campaigns, on-line campaigns and other proximity based activities dependent upon local market needs and opportunities
  • Constructing customer/prospect target lists tailor made for specific market situation in cooperation with enablement and sales
  • Increasing awareness of Colt as a colocation provider in markets, planning and executing property specific local PR/AR, social media and other awareness activities
  • Helping drive traffic to DCS website and local property microsites
  • Finding locally relevant hot topics to be leveraged in press, social media, events etc.
  • Building relationships with existing colocation customers (anti-churn, up-sell)
  • Creating, publishing and popularising of any property relevant sales tools and materials in English and in local languages
  • Translating DCS local marketing collateral, overseeing the translation process and its efficiency and managing the actual translations of the collateral as required
  • Branding guidance and support for data centre site managers

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong understanding of Data Centres and the wider ICT industry in Europe
  • Proven experience of marketing, in particular property marketing in the Data Centre/Telco space
  • Previous experience of implementing European/global marketing strategy into local plans and activities
  • Direct experience of increasing pipeline by generating marketing leads through local events, telemarketing campaigns and other tools
  • Previous experience of constructing customer/prospect target lists tailor made for specific market situation
  • Hands on experience of increasing awareness through planning and executing property specific items through local PR/AR, social media and other awareness activities
  • Direct experience of creating and publishing property relevant sales tools and materials in English and in local European languages, translating marketing collateral and guiding DCS teams on branding
