Background
The growth of our clients business in recent years means that the processing of customer orders now requires a dedicated position in the company. This is a very important role as the accurate processing of sales orders and professional customer inter-action at all times are essential to the business.
The Company
Our client is a successful family owned manufacturing business employing 55 staff in Westbury, Wiltshire. The company manufactures high specification rubber compounds with sales of £m20 in the UK and across the world. In 2013 the company purchased a factory in Spain with an additional €m18 turnover. The success of the business is built on customer focus in everything we do.
The Position
Sales Order Processing Administrator
Purpose
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all customer sales orders.
- Provide general administration support as required.
Main Responsibilities
- Processing of customer sales orders including; checking orders received specifications and T&C's, agreeing delivery dates with production planning, checking selling prices, issuing customer order acknowledgements, processing order amendments, checking new customer terms, processing price list updates, customer communications.
- Backup and holiday cover for other admin/finance staff as required.
- General office duties.
Relationships
Reporting to the Financial Controller with key interactions internally with production planning, purchasing and finance and externally with customers.
Requirements
You will be an experienced administrator familiar with using basic IT packages. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills both spoken and written, work well under pressure and be able to multi task. Attention to detail and an application of common sense are essential. A flexible approach to office hours may sometimes be required.
The position requires a team player with a hands-on proactive approach who can demonstrate a record of delivering results combined with a drive and enthusiasm to make a real contribution to the business.
