Our client serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 20,000 students a year. Their students are spread across their 500 academic and vocational courses, offering them the widest choice in the city at the highest standard of learning.
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Main Grade Lecturer in French to join them on a fixed term contract basis until 10th July 2015.
As a Lecturer in French, you will teach Level 1, AS, A2 and GCSE French and will create effective and stimulating opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression and development. Please note that this post includes evening work.
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you are educated to Degree level or are a native speaker of French. With a recognised Teaching qualification, you will also hold a professional qualification relevant to the subject area along with a minimum of Level 2 Maths and English qualifications (or willingness to complete).
With experience of curriculum planning and delivery, you be an excellent classroom teacher and will have an awareness and understanding of current development in Post-16 Education and subject area.
Excellent computer literacy with the ability to use the current IT programs of the college is also a requirement.
Although not essential, experience of resource based learning and membership of a relevant professional body would be beneficial.
