Our client is recognised as an Ofsted Outstanding provider, following inspection in October 2013. Ofsted rated the Overall effectiveness of their provision, along with Outcomes for learners, Quality of teaching, learning and assessment and Effectiveness of leadership and management as Outstanding. In addition, the Quality Assurance Agency, which independently reports on the quality and standards of degree provision, awarded the College more commendations than any other university or Higher Education establishment in the UK to date when it published its report in July 2013.

They are now looking to recruit a Learning Resources Assistant to join them at their Bispham Campus on a part time basis for 18.5 hours per week.

As Learning Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for first line help for students and staff in locating and using information and learning resources plus administrative duties. You will be responsible for the issuing and return of resources and the maintenance of supporting systems and you will maximise accessibility of learning materials to all learners by keeping materials tidy and in order by classification number.

Whilst maintaining student, financial and other databases including accurate input of data, you will monitor and record LRC usage and trends and will be involved in cash handling with regard to the collection of fines, photocopier and stationery sales.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and will hold, or be willing to work towards, an ECDL or CLAIT. With a proven track record of customer care and service, you will be experienced in the use of business software and will be able to work with a wide variety of students in different situations, including difficult and disruptive ones.

Working hours:

Wed 12:30 -16:30, Thurs 09.00 – 17:00 and Fri 09:00 – 16:30
