Our client is an established security software provider, specialising in access control and ID card systems. They are currently looking to recruit a home-based Business Development Solutions Consultant, who will be responsible for driving sales and developing new business with existing and new accounts throughout the UK and Ireland.

The successful Business Development Solutions Consultant will generate new clients via telephone, email and face to face selling. Existing accounts and leads will be supplied but proactive lead generation will also be expected.

Business Development Solutions Consultant Main Skills:

To manage customers throughout the whole sales cycle:

Prospecting ' by cold calling, following up warm customer leads as well as generating new business leads

Proposal ' reflect the services and products through written or electronic presentations

Presentations and demonstrations of products and solutions

Set up and attend customer meetings to present and demonstrate the company's solutions

Advise customers (and prospects) on forthcoming product developments, special promotions and to inform of potential implications for their organisation

Setting up customer accounts

Negotiate variations in price, delivery and specifications to close sales

On-going management ' check on progress of orders, nurture existing relationships and acquire new business along the way via meetings, courtesy telephone calls and emails

Exhibitions - To represent and promote the company by attending trade exhibitions, conferences and seminars as required

Responsible for keeping all presentations up-to-date with new products and new features etc

You will manage your own diary in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals and also ensure the CRM database is kept up to date with detailed notes of calls and appointments.

You will be responsible for regularly monitoring and reviewing your own sales performance in accordance with individual targets ' delivering sales plans, reports and forecasting activity on a regular basis to the line manager.

Attendance to regular sales and review meetings will also be involved.

Business Development Solutions Consultant Person Specification:

Experienced in new business sales and account management

Software/Technical knowledge of security software

Experience in the development of new channels and accounts

Experienced in B2B sales

Practised presenter to groups of all levels

Experienced in working on own initiative

Commercial and financial awareness

Excellent communication skills: highly articulate and effective listener

Outstanding professional telephone skills

Car driver with valid driving license for UK

Successful candidate will receive circa. £22,000 - £25,000 OTE £45,000 (uncapped) with full business mileage, once probation is complete, potential car or car allowance available.
