Lean Facilitator / Continuous Improvement

Bury St Edmunds and Linton

An opportunity exists to join our client’s Lean team. The role will be predominantly within Bury St Edmunds and Linton, with occasional travel to other sites in the division for specific continuous improvement projects.

In this role, you will report into the Senior Lean Leader and Lean Transformation Manager and be part of the team who delivers the TWI Job Instruction programme across the sites; who coachs employees on creating job breakdown sheets; who helps deliver the Job Instruction programme; who supports the departments to manage the implementation of Job Instruction and provides first line DWOR support to the users. You will work with the system to identify improvement opportunities, losses and trends that impact on the business KPI’s and help the team design, scope and deliver training programmes on lean tools and techniques across the business. An initial focus will be on on everyday problem solving, line balancing, and root cause analysis.

In addition the successful candidate will help to design and deliver internal conferences as well as external courses such as Training Workshops.

The successful candidate will have experience of working on continuous improvement projects and using lean tools (for example line balancing, problem solving, facility layout and standard work); have some IT skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; have a proven track record of working within and leading improvement projects; have a basic knowledge of production KPI’s and have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
