<p><b>Production / Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) - Automotive Components Leader<br /> Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire<br /> circa £34,900 (inclusive of shift allowance)</b></p> <p><b><b>Who we are:</b></b><br /> <br /> With approximately 27,000 employees at more than 90 locations in 20 countries we believe ourselves to be the third largest automotive interior components supplier in the world by market share and the only global supplier with a singular focus on interiors.<br /> <br /> The Scunthorpe site's core business is the supply of injection moulded components and assemblies to a varied customer base including Jaguar, Land Rover and Toyota.<br /> <br /> <b><b>The Production / Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) Role:</b></b><br /> <br /> The Process Engineer’s primary responsibility is to maintain production process and optimise equipment in line with KPI’s. Maintain machine outputs and complete all relevant documentation to allow support functions to operate.<br /> <br /> <b><b>Main elements of the role include (but are not limited to):</b></b><br /> <br /> &gt; Participate in problem resolution on an ongoing basis to assist Manufacturing in process related issue.<br /> &gt; Through TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) methodology record and maintain standard process setting data for use in the internal database. Ensure all processes are standardised are maintained in accordance with the data.<br /> &gt; Analyse OEE data against site targets and manage improvement plans with respect to performance, availability and process scrap.<br /> &gt; Develop and manage improvement plans with respect to weight reduction, cycle time reduction and labour efficiency.<br /> &gt; Actively explore new process technology for suitability to the business.<br /> &gt; Attend relevant internal and external trial activities for New Product Introduction.<br /> &gt; Develop and implement process layouts considering best practice in lean manufacturing.<br /> &gt; Maintain and update process equipment specifications and ensure wherever possible the standardisation of equipment configuration.<br /> &gt; Co-ordinate and implement actions; as a result of trials and customer requests, internal problem follow-up sheets and customer ECR’s.<br /> &gt; Ensure adherence to all Health &amp; Safety procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential H&amp;S issues and the development of personal safety awareness.<br /> &gt; Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to all company business operating systems.<br /> <br /> <b><b>Production / Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) Preferred Education &amp; Experiences:</b></b><br /> <br /> &gt; HND/Degree Level in Engineering or equivalent qualification in Injection Moulding and Processing<br /> &gt; Five years in practical setting and processing environment<br /> &gt; Able to motivate shift personnel<br /> &gt; Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing 5S, Kaizen, SMED desirable.<br /> &gt; Must have worked in a high volume automotive environment<br /> &gt; Knowledge of Quality systems such as SPC / ISO 9000 a distinct advantage<br /> &gt; Practical in depth knowledge of various injection moulding machines, robots and processes<br /> <br /> The Production / Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) role is being managed by agency innovator RecruitmentRevolution.com.
