Acute Need CIC is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker to join their team on a Permanent, Part Time role subject to 6 month probation based in Liverpool – Netherton. Offering a salary of £7.50/hour.

Working as a Personal Care Assistant, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Acute Need, a leading provider of complex health care. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, the Personal Care Assistant will be required to provide comprehensive support work to an individual with complex needs due to a Brain Injury.

Key Responsibilities as our Personal Care Assistant will include:

Key responsibilities will include providing all aspects of personal care within the service users own home; ensuring the welfare and safety of the client and controlling infection, cleanliness and the use of medicines. Conducting reports are essential to ensure effective, safe and appropriate care, treatment and support are provided to the vulnerable client in line with the professional CQC standards of care.

In addition it is essential to meet the social needs of the service user, empowering them to become involved within the community. To enable inclusion, this role would be suitable for someone who could share interests and activities with the service users.

Skills and Experience required / needed to become our new Personal Care Assistant:

We are looking for a confident, reliable individual who has a passion for care and a commitment to assisting our client with complex needs. The successful person will have relevant experience and qualifications in personal care/support work with experience of brain injury an advantage.

You will also need:

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with numerous parties including the service user, the family of the service user, work colleagues and other providers of care.

- A person centred approach

- The ability to use own initiative, working both independently and as part of a team.

Applicants must be 18+ due to personal care and are required to provide an enhanced disclosure and provide two references.

- Varied hours based on 12 hour day shifts

- 28 days holiday pro rata including bank holidays.
