Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Reports to: Section Manager

Our client is a fantastic national brand who specialise in removals and storage, offering a full range of professional removals and storage services for home and business. They are currently looking for a Customer Service Adviser, to join their team based in Newcastle.

Customer Services Adviser Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for providing advice and information to our client's corporate customers with regard to their Government contracts, You will have a high regard for customer service and quality standards and you will closely monitor the tracking of consignments worldwide via their centralised system, whilst ensuring that all internal departments, sister companies and agents are adhering to customer expectations.

Customer Services Adviser Responsibilities:

Your main task will be to manage the shipment of individual client’s goods on behalf of their corporate accounts. In order to achieve this you will need to:

• Load new customer data on to in-house system (Navision)

• Issue initiation mail to customer

• Issue of paperwork, as required, using courier

• Liaise with Customer, Government department contact, internal departments, agents where required, to ensure the customers move runs smoothly

• Update of Navision, which any changes to the move.

• Completion of move file

• Issue of Customer Satisfaction Survey to customer at end of move

• Any other admin duties where time permits and as required

Customer Services Adviser Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• First class communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent telephone manner

• Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Adaptable to the various tasks required

• A proactive and optimistic attitude

• Well presented, reliable and punctual

• Experience in the Removals Industry is preferred but not essential

The successful candidate will possess a good telephone manner and be able to generate good written communication. They will need to be methodical in their approach and able to set a plan and deliver it. Dealing with the client can be very demanding, so patience and diplomacy are important. Previous experience of Word, Excel and e-mail would be helpful but not essential.
