Business Development Manager

Based in York, field role covering East Yorkshire

Basic salary £22k with an OTE of £38k + company vehicle

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Key sales skills, preferably from a similar industry (vehicle sales / rental / maintenance).
• Demonstrable commercial acumen and results-orientation.
• The ability to present/promote the company’s services to potential clients.
• The ability to understand and evaluate a more technical sales solution.

THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to source and build prospects, promoting the company and looking for potential new customers / leads. Your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Cold calling potential customers.
• Researching potential customers.
• Account managing existing/new customers.
• Visiting customers occasionally to maintain relationships
• Working with each site manager to promote the business.
• Looking at technical specifications alongside customer needs and putting together good solutions based on customer requirements in terms of the vehicle weight, length and driving specifications.

THE PERSON

You will need a great passion for sales with experience gained in a similar role. You will need to be self motivated and able to manage your own time effectively so that you able to build and manage customers and leads.
