The Lead UI Developer/UI Development Team Lead Role:

As the User Interface Development Team Lead, you will manage a team of user interface developers, responsible for developing the user interaction on a variety of customer facing applications. You will contribute to user interface development strategy ensuring that all interfaces comply with the relevant accessibility standards. You will also ensure that quality software is delivered according to specification and the correct procedures are followed in line with technical and business objectives and company strategy.

A key requirement of this role is that you must possess experience of managing a User Interface Development team within an Agile development environment.

The Customer Solutions team is responsible for developing key company business systems based on Web related technologies. The team also provides third line support for these systems.

Lead UI Developer/UI Development Team Lead Desired Skills & Experience:

> Previous experience in managing/leading a User Interface Development team within an Agile development team
> Previous experience should demonstrate high level of hands-on UI development experience
> Thorough understanding of the composition of a multi-disciplinary UCD team
> Good working knowledge of all standard Agile development concepts, especially around UCD/creative team integration
> Hands-on knowledge of User Experience analysis and developing solutions to meet with business requirements.
> Ability to determine and communicate the impact of business issues effectively
> Strong experience with:
- HTML(5)
- CSS(3)
- LESS/SASS/CSS pre-processors
- JavaScript
- TDD/BDD
- Responsive development
- Cross browser compatibility (including mobile devices)
- CMS integration
- Performance optimisation
- Version control using Git, SVN or similar
> Strong overall ability to plan, organise and schedule own work as well as well as UI developers within project team
> Experience with managing a team of UI Developers within an Agile development team
> Educated to University Degree level or equivalent training
