We are a leading global publisher providing print and online content and services for worldwide academic, professional, scientific, technical, medical, scholarly, and consumer markets. We are seeking a skilled, motivated and results-driven Account Manager based in our Chichester or Oxford Offices to manage and grow our portfolio of corporate accounts in the Pharmaceutical sector.

Depending on experience and knowledge we are looking to recruit for either an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager.

The Account Manager / Senior Account Manager Opportunity:

The role involves selling media solutions primarily to Pharmaceutical Companies. As such, knowledge and experience of how the pharmaceutical sector works combined with a background in media sales would be a big advantage.

This is a pivotal role, designed for a self-motivated, creative, and highly organised individual. You will have a strong track record in sales, excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills, a sound understanding of developing new strategies and promotional plans, and a pro-active approach to your work.

Responsibilities for the Account Manager Include:

> Meet sales targets and delivering profitable sales growth

> Build multi-level business relationships with our customers through regular visits, calls and correspondence

> Develop and implement strategic customer account plans

> Manage sales budgets and forecasts

> Build and convert pipeline of new business

> Maintain accurate records on company CRM system

> Keep up to date with industry news and trends through reading relevant material, attending relevant events and through communications with your network of contacts

Qualifications:

You will need to demonstrate proven account management experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector and/or publishing sector. We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

> Experienced in successfully managing top tier key accounts

> Results orientated, with an attachment to numbers, budgets, margins and sales results

> Outgoing, confident and positive nature, able to build strong and long-lasting business relationships

> Skilled negotiator and communicator. Able to lead, influence and guide others at all levels

> Excellent presentation skills

> Good time management; a self-starter able to work autonomously.
