Surveyor Contract Manager

My client is one of the largest building repair and decoration companies in the UK, dealing with all of their customers who make a claim on their building insurance. So, when an unattended chip pan starts a fire, or a burst pipe floods the living room, we oversee the whole process of repairs - from the moment a claim has been approved until the last lick of paint has been applied.
As one of our valued surveyors, you'll drive excellence in the validation of claims and the routing process. When a customer makes a claim, it'll be your role to arrange and manage specialist inspections, before routing claims to either a desk-based contract manager or retaining ownership & project managing the claim to completion. Owning the customer relationships through to claim validation or repudiation, you'll be expected to manage customer expectations, arrange temporary accommodation where necessary, and agree cash settlement options.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Having worked as a building surveyor and supervisor in the building trades, you'll combine a strong knowledge of both the insurance and building industries. You'll also bring excellent interpersonal skills, gained in your time working in a customer-focused environment where you took pride in meeting customer needs through your expertise and integrity. What's more, you should be familiar with effectively managing costs on settlements.

This is a field based role but working from home. Ideally you would need to reside within the DY, SY or TF postcode areas.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Ideally you'll have an insurance qualification along with the CII Diploma and ACII.
