Commercial Contracts Manager (Aerospace - Simulation)

A Commercial Contracts Manager is required to join a world leader in the manufacture and delivery of simulation and training solutions for Air Traffic Control operations. Their customer's rely on their innovation and outstanding service to deliver complex projects which meet their current and future training requirements.

A full time position has arisen for an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to join its busy team in Bournemouth, acting as the central authority for customer and supplier contracts.

Prime duties will include:

- Ensuring contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, MNL policies and procedures
- Assisting in the company bid process by reviewing NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Customer Sales and Supplier Purchasing terms and conditions and being the authority source on the content of all customer and supplier contracts.
- Assisting in the negotiation of customer contract terms and conditions to the benefit of MNL; negotiating renewal of contracts including support, maximising commercial benefit and mitigating risk.
- Recording, managing and maintaining all the company's signed contracts issued to customers and received from suppliers
- Providing day to day commercial and contractual assistance to sales, project management and support
- Identifying potential for new business opportunities with current customers
- Advising on Intellectual Property Rights and Software Licencing generally.
- Pursuing Government Funding opportunities where possible.

Applicants should have the following experience:

- Proven application of contract law in an international environment
- Experience of Software licencing and Intellectual Property Rights
- Experience of Civil and Military Contracts
- Strong PC literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools - Outlook, Word and Excel
- Technical information gathering and analysis skills
- Background in Aerospace desirable but not essential
- CIPS qualification desirable but not essential

Other key skills:

- Be commercially astute
- Be of graduate level with excellent standard of written, verbal and presentation skills
- Have experience of dealing with customers and suppliers in contract capacity
- Be used to a high level of responsibility
- Have excellent negotiating skills

Salary: Up to £45k - £55K depending upon experience
