We are looking to recruit creative, motivated and solution focussed Support Workers to work in a Registered Care setting, for people with learning disabilities and mental health based in Waltham Forest. Drayton Road actively promotes customer participation through empowerment, engagement and enabling. Customers are actively involved in the community and participate in a wide range of activities.
The individuals that you will be working have moderate learning disabilities. Staff will support them in all areas of their daily living. Your role is to provide high quality, person centred care and support to adults at risk in line with Outward policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions from your line manager. You will also act as Key worker to one or more service users ensuring they are involved in their support planning and risk assessment and keep this information up to date.
You will be compassionate and caring in your approach to support and care as you will be responsible for supporting service user with Learning Disabilities with their physical and emotional needs, including personal care, in a way that is respectful and promotes individual needs and rights. You will be creative and solution focussed with a positive can-do attitude that will put service users at the heart of everything you do.
Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and/or challenging behaviours is preferable but not essential to the role.
All roles will involve working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays Therefore we are looking for people who are highly flexible and can meet the needs of our service users.
We have a number of full time (38 hours a week) and part time positions available (minimum of 16 hours per week).
