Our client is recognised as an Ofsted Outstanding provider, following inspection in October 2013. Ofsted rated the Overall effectiveness of their provision, along with Outcomes for learners, Quality of teaching, learning and assessment and Effectiveness of leadership and management as Outstanding. In addition, the Quality Assurance Agency, which independently reports on the quality and standards of degree provision, awarded the College more commendations than any other university or Higher Education establishment in the UK to date when it published its report in July 2013.
They are now looking to recruit an Administration & Data Assistant on a full time basis to work at their University Centre; on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months.
Reporting to the Student Support & Wellbeing Office Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting in the administration and data processes for Student Support & Wellbeing.
You will receive and collate learner data and ensure all is properly documented and recorded. You will create and maintain learner files throughout the academic year.
As well as ensuring departmental data quality for audit purpose, you will provide confidential and personal administration support to Departmental Managers and will liaise with managers to ensure clarity of information.
In order to be successful in this position, it is essential that you have a good general education (e.g. 5 GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English) and have experience of working in an administrative capacity. Experience of working with spread sheets and databases is also essential and you should be familiar with validating and cleansing data in records systems.
With experience of working within agreed deadlines and achieving targets, you will have previous experience of working in a busy environment coupled with experience of accurately inputting and collating data for reporting purposes. Excellent computer skills including use of Word and Excel is also essential.
