Position: Insurance Technician

Location: Stockport, Cheshire

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 per annum dependent on experience

The Insurance Technician role:

Working within our specialist Technical Support team to ensure the quality and accuracy of insurer products, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your insurance and technical knowledge.

The successful candidate must be computer literate with keen attention to detail. As well as excellent communication and customer service skills, you will need a good understanding of insurance products and rating factors and be keen to develop in a challenging and fast paced environment. Experience of working in an insurance or broking environment would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities of the Insurance Technician:

Carrying out testing procedures within necessary timescales to ensure all errors are identified and corrected before products are released.

Developing and maintaining high levels of underwriting competence and procedural knowledge.

Skills and experience:

Experience in an insurance company or broking environment would be advantageous.

Proven understanding of personal lines/scheme products and rating factors.

Computer literacy

Experience of communication with line management and customers

At least 5 A-C GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English
