Position: IT Software Tester

Location: Stockport, Cheshire

Salary: £18,000 - £25,000

Main Purpose Of The IT Software Tester Job:

To conduct manual and automated functional testing on application software in system, integration and regression testing. Identify and document defects and progress through to resolution in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

•Analysing the requirements to produce estimates, test plans and test scripts

•Conducting functional test execution using manual and automated test scripts across the development lifecycle

•Identifying defects in the software and working with the project team to see defects through to resolution.

•Driving good test practice within an Agile project environment

•Application of both static and dynamic test techniques to discover defects during the testing lifecycle.

Skills:

•Proven experience in Software Testing in an Agile project environment.

•Proven experience of manual and automated functional testing

•Knowledge of structured testing methodologies.

•Experience in producing test estimates, test plans and test scripts.

•Demonstrable experience of working within structured project methodologies.

•ISEB/ISTQB foundation qualification desirable.

•Insurance experience is an advantage.
