Randstad Education is looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher to work for 2 terms at a Comprehensive Secondary School in Brent, North West London.

The Job

The school are looking for a qualified teacher to work in their Maths Department, to teaching Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 Mathematics. This is a full time long term role starting Sept 1st, taking you up until Easter 2015. The position has become available due to maternity leave. The school require the following attributes:
- Experience teaching Secondary Mathematics ( NQT welcome to apply)
- Available 5 days a week and can commit to two terms
- Can easily commute to Brent, North West London
- Has strong classroom presence and good behaviour management
- Is passionate about the subject they teach, and can motivate and inspire their students through their teaching

The School

The school is a large comprehensive secondary school in the heart of Brent, North West London. It was rated the most diverse school in the whole of the country, drawing in students from different cultures and coming from different social backgrounds. There are roughly 1200 students in the school, with a high proportion of EAL (55%) and SEN (11%) students, and a 26% of students entitled to free school meals. There are roughly 96 members of staff, who also work alongside plenty of support staff to help out during lessons to offer additional support.
The school has an overwhelming sense of community spirit ? if you are hoping for a school that you can feel at home in, then this is the one. They maintain a strict and thorough Behaviour Management policy, which has eliminated the troubles of bullying and mistreatment of others. There is a great level of respect, students for staff, and staff for students.

The Child

Generally speaking, students at this school are well behaved and enjoy coming to the school. There no bullying policy is highly effective, and despite the diversity of the students, they all get on extremely well with each other. Last year, there 6th form students were in Top 10 in the UK for their A level results, wherein 98% of their A Level students achieved at least 2 A Levels at A* -E. Academic students at GCSE level achieved equivalent of 2+ A Levels at A*-E.
