St Andrew??s Nottinghamshire is a centre of excellence for male service users who present with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorders who require medium or low secure care.
We are now looking for nurses to join our nursing bureau (casual working) to support the permanent ward based multi-disciplinary teams in providing direct care for our service users.
We would like to hear from both experienced and newly qualified MH/LD nurses that have completed their preceptorship who would like to support an organisation committed to the quality of service user care and that encourages innovation to continually improve our mental health care services. St Andrew??s staff and senior staff nurses in the delivery of care plans as part of the clinical team and will support our healthcare assistant??s ongoing training and development. Ideally you will have worked in a secure services environment caring for the same or similar service user groups and you will be NMC registered.
For a senior position you will need to demonstrate previous experience of resource planning, participation in setting standards of service user care and have a minimum of 6 months post qualification experience. All successful candidates will demonstrate sound professional practice and flexibility in their approach to nursing, together with excellent verbal and written communication skills and will exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of St Andrew??s vision and values. Rate of pay will depend on experience.

Successful candidates must be able to attend one full week??s induction before undertaking any duties on the wards, and at least one further full week of training within their first few months of joining the St Andrew??s nursing bureau.

The interview process will involve a number of exercises to assess your suitability for the role.
