A Special School in County Durham have approached us for a PE Teacher to teach PE across Key Stage 3 and 4. All children within this school have a statement for Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.

Due to a permanent vacancy, the school are looking to appoint a Qualified PE Teacher to:

  • Plan, deliver and supervise study courses, lessons and activities
  • Develop and maintain a stimulating learning environment
  • Provide effective classroom management, ensuring a good standard or order and discipline is maintained within a cultural of mutual respect.
  • Fully participate in the corporate life of the school assisting with extra-curricular activities and events
  • Take the lead responsibility for your designated subject or cross curriculum responsibility.

The successful candidate will be an adaptive thinker, have a creative flair and will be able to balance and prioritise the varied learning styles and needs of mixed ability pupils with varied and educational and developmental needs, as well as have a degree of physical and emotional resilience.

Ideally, you will be Team Teach trained and have experience of teaching/supporting students with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
