Job Title: Deputy Network Manager
Location & Post Code: Carshalton,Greater London (SM6)
Salary: £24,210 - £25,710 per Annum
Our client is looking to appoint a Deputy Network Manager to join their ICT support team.
The role of the Deputy Network Manager directly supports the Network Manager in ensuring an efficient and effective ICT network and infrastructure. ICT is an essential tool to support the learning of students and an up to date infrastructure is key to achieving that aim. The role includes a variety of aspects linked to ICT, some technical, others developmental. It is essential that the post holder is flexible and adaptable and willing to embrace new initiatives. It is also part of the role to manage the work of a part time ICT technician so that key priorities can be addressed speedily and effectively.
Main Duties:
• Set up and maintenance of PCs and their Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows)
• Oversight of Network Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / 2008r2)
• Help maintain VMWare Virtual Server Environment
• Help maintain Citrix based VDI infrastructure
• Oversight of Local Area Network Maintaining WDS / MDT and client images
• Managing Windows AD / Group Policy and software distribution techniques
• Configuration and fault finding of workstations and servers
• Maintenance of hardware and software
• Hardware repairs
• Deputize for the Network Manager
The successful candidate will have:
• Experience of working in ICT
• A strong technical background and experience
• Some knowledge / experience of school ICT systems
